Abstract artists are often asked to explain their art and how it got to be what it is. Truthfully, my art is best when it can’t be explained. It’s there to be loved, to be mystifying, to inspire the viewer to gain some insight into themselves.

I want my collectors to never tire of seeing their art. And experiencing it. Living with it in their homes and workplaces where it is continually a part of their experience. I make paintings because they demand to be made. And, oddly enough, they almost always name themselves.

Abstract expressionism—it comes from some unexplainable free and independent place inside.
